Hartco has long been known for quality wood flooring. But the quality doesn't stop there...

Hartco provides a complete line of exclusive care and maintenance products created specifically for the cleaning and protection of their various wood floors in commercial and residential installations.

Each of their products is job specific and as unique as the floor you create. Detailed instructions for proper use appear on each product label. The Flor Stor is proud to be a recommended Hartco floor care retailer nationwide.

Maintenance and Care

For proper care, always follow directions on each product label.

Initial Care:

Sweep, vacuum or dust mop.
Mist the area to be cleaned with Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate Cleaner and wipe with the Hartco recommended Sh-mop.
For Pattern-Plus and Pattern-Plus 5000 floors without the Permion finish, apply Hartco Pattern-Plus Shine.

Routine Care:

Sweep, vacuum or dust mop as needed.
Wipe up spills with Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate Cleaner .
For large areas, mist Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate Cleaner and wipe with the Hartco recommended Sh-mop.
For Pattern-Plus and Pattern Plus 5000 floors without the Permion finish, apply Pattern-Plus Shine as needed (2-4 times per year).

Easily cleans dirt, food spots and other soiled areas.

Mats at all entrances help keep dirt and moisture from being tracked in.
Area rugs are recommended in front of kitchen sinks.
Do not use rugs with solid rubber or vinyl backings. Never damp mop with water. It may permanently damage the floor.
Do not walk on your Hartco floor with worn out stiletto or spike heels.
Do not roll or slide heavy objects directly upon the floor.
Pet claws may scratch hardwood floors. Maintain proper climate controls.
A temperature of 70° F (21° C)and relative humidity of 35% to 50% are ideal.
Use floor protectors on the feet of furniture to avoid scratches.

QUICK FIX TIPS:

Water Spots :

Remove with a soft cloth dampened with Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate cleaner or white vinegar.

Food Spills:

Clean promptly with Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate cleaner .

Rubber Heel Marks, Crayon, Gum or Asphalt Deposits:

Dampen a clean cloth with Hartco Wipe Clean and rub to remove.

Scratches:

Use Hartco's Touch-Up Kit on Pearl White parquet, Plank and Strip floors. For light scratches or color loss on Hartco Acrylic Impregnated floors without Permion finish, apply Armstrong Spray Tone. To repair deep scratches on Hartco Acrylic Impregnated floors without Permion finish, lightly abrade with 00 steel wool or 400 grit sandpaper; then apply Armstrong Spray Tone. Repairs may also be made by replacing individual slats or units.
